Hi everyone! Yes, you read that right!!!

On Saturday 4th July, Liverpool held a special day of celebration in honour of the 175th anniversary of Cunard's first Transatlantic crossing. RMS Queen Mary 2 was in port, and left to a blaze of fireworks. But earlier in the day, the city tried for a world record attempt with the most models to walk down a catwalk! It took over THREE HOURS to do, but we did it, with 3,591 people, and smashed the Guinness World Record! :w00t: And I was part of it - The Sophie Lancaster Foundation (which you guys probably know I'm a big supporter of) organised a scene for the alternative community to walk the runway, and I was absolutely honoured to be a part of it

If you want to see it, a lot of backstage footage and pictures are in my latest vlog: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOKDlh…

Or go here and zoom forward to about 1:12:40 for Scene S.O.P.H.I.E! www.very.co.uk/verybigcatwalk

(There I am on the far right. Hello! :D)

Hi everyone

I've got a couple of links to share with you today! :) First of all, I'm very proud to announce that I've started work on the Elphame Arts charity piece for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. This is a cause very close to my heart and which I've followed since its inception. For anyone unfamiliar with the charity, it is named in honour of 20 year-old Sophie Lancaster, who was brutally beaten by a mob in her local park in August 2007. Her boyfriend Robert Maltby fortunately survived the attack, but Sophie later died in hospital from her injuries. The only reason they were targeted was because they looked different. Since then, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to educate people about subcultures in our communities and increase tolerance of everyone who chooses to express their individuality.

I've worked with Sophie's mother Sylvia, who leads the Foundation, to ensure the artwork will be a fitting tribute to her daughter's memory, and she has personally chosen the theme. I'll be officially revealing the piece on Sunday 28th June; here on DA, on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, and also in person at the Art in the Park event in West Kirby, Cheshire. :w00t: The auction itself will take place on the event page below from Monday 24th - Sunday 30th August. Everyone is invited; please share it around and help me to spread the word! :D

Leading on from that, I also have another Facebook party coming up to celebrate Blindsighted Wanderer's book birthday! 2015 marks three years since my debut novel was published (that feels so weird!) and to celebrate I'm holding a little online Fayre. There will be giveaways, and special guests Donna Milward and Serene Conneeley taking over for an hour each. Everyone who comes along to join in the fun will also get an exclusive sneak peak at my upcoming mini anthology Night Journeys, due to be released in e-book next month. :D The party will take place on Monday 22nd June.

Hi, everyone!

This update is a bit overdue because I have had A LOT going on, and I've been away for a little holiday in the beautiful Lake District :D but it's here now so here we go!

Firstly, I want to thank you all for supporting the Cancer Research UK charity artwork - especially to my incredible friend :iconsaperlipop: who was the winning bidder of the original piece! Poster prints are also available with at least £10 of each sale going straight to Cancer Research UK, so check out the website for more info on that if you're interested! A second charity auction will be held later in the year in support of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, so stay tuned for that! :)

I'm also very happy to announce that the digital arm of Elphame Arts has grown! :excited: In addition to premade and custom made book covers, I'm now also offering 2 packages for bespoke CD covers. The default package consists of the front cover image and double-sided traycard images (including track listing and double spine). A second package also includes full lyric book design and formatting.

And, with a name like Elphame Arts, I couldn't leave Fairyland alone! I am now taking commissions for fairy and fantasy portraits, where you or a loved one can be transformed into a fairy, princess, mermaid, angel, pirate, or anything else you wish for! Prices begin at just £25! :w00t:

Hi everyone!

As some of you already know, last month I revealed Eilean Donan: an artwork I've created especially to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The original piece will be auctioned, and now I can let you all know the details about it! :D

The auction will be taking place on the Elphame Arts Facebook page and will run for 7 days.

www.facebook.com/elphamearts

It will begin on Monday 9th April at 9.00am GMT, and end on Sunday 12th April at 9.00pm GMT. The winning bid will receive the Eilean Donan original, with 100% of monies going directly to Cancer Research UK. :)

To take part, all you need to do is tune into the Facebook page through the week. The auction post will be pinned to the top of the page with a picture of Eilean Donan, and to place a bid, simply comment on the picture with your amount. Be sure to keep checking back regularly to check on progress! If you place the winning bid, I will be in touch after the event ends on Sunday :)

I really hope you can join me for this, but even if you can't, please spread the word to everyone you know so we can make this something great for a wonderful cause!

Once again, thank you so much for your amazing love and support!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a bit of an update on the first Elphame Arts charity artwork. The picture itself is almost finished, and I'm very happy with the way it's turning out. I've created it specially for Cancer Research UK, and today I've finalised all the dates and details for how it can help raise funds to beat cancer. :w00t:

MONDAY 16TH MARCH

The artwork will get its official reveal on the Elphame Arts website, Facebook page, Twitter, and of course my DA gallery. This is the same date as the cover reveal for the Blood and Scales anthology for diabetes, so I'm going to have a busy but fun day of charity-related stuff! :D

MONDAY 6TH APRIL - SUNDAY 12TH APRIL

Two weeks later, an auction is going to be happening on the Elphame Arts Facebook page, which you can find by following this link: www.facebook.com/elphamearts :) There will only be one item: the original charity artwork. The event will span one week, so there'll be plenty of time to take part. Bidding will begin on 6th April at 12pm GMT, and end on 12th April at 9pm GMT. After the auction is over, the winning bidder will receive the picture, and all profits will go directly to Cancer Research UK.

WEDNESDAY 15TH APRIL

Poster prints of the artwork will go on sale through the Elphame Arts website. Anybody will be able to purchase these at any time, and as with my commissions, they will be available to post worldwide. Once again, all profits will go straight to Cancer Research UK. The first ten prints sold will be signed by me, and all of them will include a personal handwritten letter of thanks. :blowkiss:

Please help me by spreading the word about the auction and prints to everyone you know, and I'd love for you to join me in helping this wonderful cause!
